Ever wanted to replace Tony Montana (Al Pacino) with your own picture on a Scarface Movie Poster? What about learning how to create a Star Wars or Indiana Jones text in Photoshop? Or if you are a Avatar fan, how about a tutorial to turn your picture into a Na’vi??
Links to all can be found at 35 Awesome and Inspiring “Movie Effect” Photoshop Tutorials. Check it out.
Okay. You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little comment! 🙂
Hello little comment.
You talkin’ to me? (*continuing on in my dead-on Al Pacino / Scarface voice*) 🙂
Do it for the Team!! Oh wait that was Deniro.
Fo-ged’ aboud’ it! 🙂
You’re a cute little comment, aren’t you!
Nah…I’ve never thought about it. BUT, Mr. YnB had his mug placed in an Indiana Jones poster several years back and it was so real looking that we have it in our media room. It’s so funny to see if people react to it. Many don’t notice, but those that do (or finally notice after having passed it many times in the past) can’t believe how real it looks!
I think you might have to post that.
you have a media room Jill? That’s impressive.
I do too…it’s called my living room though.
wow that’s cool…i’d like to mess around with this tutorial! photoshop is intense, i wonder how easy it would be for a novice?
The main thing is understanding layers. Once you have that down, I find PS to be pretty easy esp if you have step by step tutorials.
understanding layers? you coulve just saved me a lot of frustration…thanks.
All you have to do is ask.
I have found the EASIEST editing tool “PICNIK”. Layering is a snap! $24.95 a year! Does lots of good things!
Also is a free image manipulation program. I have never used it but I hear from others that they like it.

I might do this later.
Show us what you come up with.
Can I shop my face into a Darth Vader mask?
I thought that was You in darth vaders mask
I don’t think I want my face on posters. Actually my face is better suited for radio.
You may have a face for radio but do you have a voice for newspapers.
My stick figure said paints good enough for him/her . . . whichever.
…and naked woody’s (harrelson that is)
Yay! A way to spend the entire weekend! You know what I like, Bearman. 🙂
Stubby is going to get yelled at for ignoring the missus.
Many thanks Bearman. You always steer me to some great sites.
Just make sure we get to see if you make anything out of it. Don Mills as Rambo would be nice.
I’m not really awesome at it but I use GIMP which is a free photoshop type program I downloaded. It does lots of stuff but I am rather limited in my understanding of that kinda stuff which is common to us oldsters regarding technology

See I knew there were people that liked it. I wrote my comment above to Jill before I saw this.
Aha I didn’t read the previous comments. I went for GIMP because it’s free & I’m a cheapskate
I thought that was me on the Scarface poster?
That does kind of look like you.
Interesting stuff, but I am still learning Photoshop period… I am getting there finally. Thanks for the links.
I find that following a bunch of tutorials like that helps learn the program in baby steps so you can see what all it can do.
As long as you don’t Photoshop yourself into “Un Chien Andalou”…
Now THERE’S a movie that’ll keep your eyes peeled!
You mean like THIS http://cdn.mos.totalfilm.com/images/u/un-chien-andalou-lage-dor-800-75.jpg
I never heard of that movie. Might have to look out for it on AMC
I love that film!
Why have I not commented on this post, I have read it 50 friggin times. I love photoshop.
You were too busy dealing with your colonary.
Sweet! My amber colored glasses and watch would look great on a Scarface poster.
Thanks for the link, b!
Show me what you make.
This is so cool…will check it out.
