Leave it to me to wait until February to do a recap of my blog from 2010. There may be some missing as I had to try to consolidate the info I have since March when I went to self hosting with what I had prior.
So if you are new to Bearman Cartoons, you can save yourself time digging through the archives by reviewing the best of 2010.

And finally the reason I do this is for the interaction. I am so lucky to have all of you take the time to read and keep coming back for more. I would list the top 10 but three of my top 2010 commenters stopped blogging themselves. Susi Spice, Lynn, and Robert (SpilledInk – though he still is very active in the comments). So visit this seven and show them some love on their blogs. Heck…visit all my commenters. They are more likely to come visit you than some cartoonists who you put on a pedestal and visit regularly but won’t give you the time of day.
Upset you didn’t make the cut? Well now, whose fault is that? Step it up (haha). Thanks again all.
I like the Ground Zero cartoon. Didn’t see it before. I think to the freedom of press and speech amendments, they should add the ‘freedom of sarcasm’ amendment.
Well I will always claim satire no matter which celebrities lawyer sends me a cease and desist..ha
My favourites on the list were the RD Reject cartoon with the screwed on/off head & the Noisy Sunchips. I am still amazed that a pack of chips could be so noisy that they get complaints. I made the top 10, Wow Thanks a lot for the exposure…
I must say in agreement that their are a number of webcomics I visit because I really like their cartoons who have never returned my visits. Or if they have they haven’t left comments so I knew they were there. I am on the verge of a big RSS Reader clean out. I really like some of them but why continue to make the effort if they can’t be bothered repaying the visits
I should clarify. There are many people I have in my reader who never (or rarely) come comment here. I may read them because while they don’t comment here they may give me regular shout outs or retweets on twitter.
Or, they may do neither but they interact with their readers. I realize there are people who have all they can do just keeping up with their own site. I am not one who needs a response to everything a write but if someone doesn’t reply to any of their readers ever, I tend to move on.
That being said. When I am busy and need to get through my reader fast, the people that comment here are the ones who I tend to visit and skip the others.
Oops I was still logged in as Dixie…
I thought Dixie finally came to her senses.
We’ve uncovered Tony’s secret identity!!
I need a new poodle suit, this one’s getting a bit tight
Your new poodle suit needs a mouth piece so I can understand you better too.
I’m impressed (not that it takes a lot to impress me, or press me for that matter) that you were able to have so many people comment on your cartoons.
A sure sign of a good artiste.
Which is why your blog is the only web cartoon (or any cartoon for that matter) that I have linked on my blog.
Thanks G. What I lack in tooning skills I make up for in BS skills. I think that is what attracts half the people.
I attest to the truthfulness of your remarks…
I wasn’t looking for validation. Geez. haha
Jeez, Bearman, if I visit loon any more than I do now I’ll have to marry the bint !!! 😉
Only thing I could find close to “bint” was some animal. What’s a bint?
I have learned more about interaction with others from you and this site than I could have from a college course. You have taught a lot of us that it is about the people who read your stuff. Thanks Bearman. (I’ll come back later and make some kind of smart aleck remark :),
I agree with Bo on that one. I’ve learned a lot about reader interaction from you. You done taught me right. 😀
Great…now I have to keep setting that example. I hate being a role model.
Too late, now I’m afraid, Mr. Beraman. Everything I know about commenting etiquite, I learned from you.
Don’t blame me when they start coming in droves then. (psst…just send them my way)
See what I said. I even learned how to comment so other people would comment. BTW when I grow up will I be as popular as you are?
And when I grow up, I will be the multimedia mogul that you are.
“They are more likely to come visit you than some cartoonists who you put on a pedestal and visit regularly but won’t give you the time of day.”
It’s 10:46 AM EST just as the crow flies …..into a snowbank! *smirk*
Are you saying it is a desert at your blog?? Wait or a blizzard?
Yes! — to both! *smirk*
Good luck this year
Thanks!
I’m somewhat of a latecomer to your site so I missed most of last year’s best ones, but it has been fun, and since things improve with age, you should be even better this year.
Well you are well on your way to becoming tops in 2011. I appreciate the continued support.
Woohoo, I look friggin handsome….so does Jammers.
I’m guessing you are watching the Super Bowl . Go Red Soxs!!!!
I think Jammer’s was resting on his laurels from the first half of the year.
Jammers was getting into the Pyongy beer and his eco hand winding vibrators, me thinks!
So now he is drunk and has carpel tunnel
Pretty much 🙁
I am with you on the Credit Card ID that did hit home with a lot of people. Rick the stick was quite funny as well.
So is the original Rick the Stick artists…Ken Drab so make sure to check him out.
I will Hopefully I just google him or pick up the link off his quest post.
Excellent Recap! Enjoyed this post! Looking forward to seeing some cool cartoons.
Same here…get to work.
Thanks for the link back bearman, shall continue to visit xx
Thanks for the visits, shall continue to linkxx
i’m still waiting for my cartoon likeness of Blunt as wonder woman.
her magical power could be to shoot people’s dreams down with her sarcasm. But in actuality, it SAVES them, because let’s face it, that was an unrealistic goal. We gotta be honest with our capabilities.
i think it’s a winner.
So instead of the powerful bracelet….it is a blinding engagement ring.
sigh.
oh yea, forgot about that.
How can you forget? It’s stuck to your body now. Can’t you feel the weight? haha
Vas?! Bo and George beat me out of the top three?! Oooh, I’ll show them! I’LL SHOW THEM ALL!
You may have won this time, but I’ll be BACK!
Come early and often. Just like the diner down the street.
…and the hookers who hang out in front of the joint.
And the webcartoonists too.
It is because Vas and I did not know there was a competition. We were just doin’ the right thing.
Thanks for the shout-out, Bearman! You always have the best, most-interesting posts around! 😀
Well second to your stumpy! Thanks
WOWZA! ‘Thems’ some impressive numbers, Bearman – well deserved congrats, sir! 🙂
And coincidentally… I just started a new blog-ish… thing (if I put together a new banner could I convince you to swap it out with the Spilled Ink one)?! How’s that for shameless?
It’s about time you let me promote something since you have been keeping your business under wraps.
It’s like a collection of great dance tunes, except it’s a collection of great bear-toons. Nice work. I’m looking forward to more this year.
I should have K-tel sell my collection.
You do consistently good work and are very attentive to your commentators; a combination that wins whethere the national anthem was sung proper or not.
Thanks Dave…glad to see you back in the business.
I have learned to never recap after Christmas because it takes at least until the middle of January to get readers attentions.
I’ll remember that for next year..hah
Thanks huge for the shout out at The Daily Cartoonist. I appreciate the support!
My pleasure. Nice of you to give back to the kids.
Man…can’t believe I didn’t make the cut (sigh). Maybe next time
I think you started the year strong and then you decided to
A: spend your time on potentially paying work and
B: Launching/relaunching 20 different webcomics.
Ah-hem…that’s 22 different webcomics! And yea, remember the Frustrated Cartoonist reader poll? If I can get interns, I so starting that up again
you have some loyal readers. I’m thankful for your visits and comments on my blog. The one post that was the best for me was the Sun Chips. As you know I made a post and youtube clip from that important info. thanks
Working on tomorrow’s post which might make you think as well.
I second all that o great Bruin. You’re the tops!
I’m not a Bruin!!
