I hate that phrase that has been pushed around in the US with regards to Banks and the American Auto companies. I am all for capitalism but in my mind too big to fail means it is way too big and while the government shouldn’t put restrictions on growth they should install measures to protect pensions, etc of companies that size.

Well see, that’s the thing. I’m all for capitalism, too, but that’s no longer what we have in this country. When government subsidies big business (and then just outright buys it), it really isn’t capitalism anymore. And this was the case long before these bailouts.
The key is finding the correct balance between Socialism and Enron.
My wife is a receptionist at Chevy. It’s busy as ever over there, because every other dealership in the area has pretty well SHUT DOWN. Good news for them – but yea, pretty bad for the others
