Why there is nothing to watch on Netflix

1-5-18-Bearman-Cartoons-Why-is-there-nothing-on-Netflix

Today’s cartoon is inspired by our friends at Netflix.   Of course when you have vacation time over the holidays you tend to have some quality TV time as well.  Don’t get me wrong, Netflix does have some decent things but have you ever tried to search for a movie to watch or something other than Stranger Things/Punisher (two I enjoy)?  But it seems they don’t have to put on a ton of great shows because as long as you find something to watch suddenly you forget the hours spent trying to find something to watch.

I have heard tales of people spending 10-15 minutes scrolling to find something to watch.  Just like our cartoon desert wanderer looking for a bit of nourishment, it is hard to come by.   That’s why when something new finally pops up on the service, the internet seems to react like it is the best thing in the world.  Sometimes it is good, sometimes it is a shit sandwich.

With $8 Billion to spend on programming this year I would hope to find a lot more “Bright” spots (which I actually liked and the critics hated) and fewer “Iron Fists”.

What are you watching or not on Netflix??

I rarely watch Netflix since l spend more time looking for a movie than watching one.

admittedly, ‘Bright’ wasn’t the best movie I ever watched, but I did enjoy it – despite the poor reviews from film critics

I share your pain re finding something to watch – oftimes I’ve spent so long searching for something that appeals to me that I no longer have time to watch the movie before it’s time for me to hit the sack, so I end up watching nothing

5 minutes ago I typed the same thing into Google but for Amazon Video. I’m going to give Mr. Robot a shot.

I also find it hard to watch something on Netflix. I find myself scrolling a lot and usually never find anything worthwhile.
