Bernie Sanders Goes Back to the Future

Bernie Sanders goes Back to the Future

Today is October 21, 2015.  Any view of Social Media in the last week and you should know by now that today has been dubbed Back to the Future Day.  In the BTTF II, Marty travels to 2015 to save his kids.  This is the date he traveled to.

So of course I couldn’t resist a good mash up between Back to the Future and our current political campaigns.  Enter Bernie Sanders.  I always thought his hair resembled that of Doc Brown, played by Christopher Lloyd in the movies.

The fun fact is courtesy of this post which states that in order to produce the same energy as the Flux Capacitor in the movies, you would need 1 1/2 Nuclear Reactors or 600 Wind Turbines.  That’s a lot of wind.

sorry – probably a minority opinion, but I thought the BTTF movies were shite

for the life of me , can’t understand why so many folk got so attached to movies involving ham actors and corny scripts !

I liked the first one. When they went to the Old West it lost it for me.

It’s a lot of wind indeed. That’s all there is is wind.

    Have a fabulous day. 🙂

Hope they don’t end up in the dry arid desert

Sounds like he only needs three politicians to run it.

For this reason alone, I want the Cubs to win the world series. 😉

I see other comment mentioned the Cubs prediction in that movie. Didn’t happen the Mets sweep the NLCS series. Interesting that you found a resemblance between Sanders and Lloyd. Did you catch the SNL show last weekend. Larry David does a great Bernie Sanders.

He needs to use rocket power. And he calls himself a scientist.

I’d forgotten all about that! Well, where are the airborne cars?

(I can understand why there’s no retro Michael Jackson robot though!)

I don’t think Bernie has the energy to beat Hillary either.

Christopher Lloyd is one of my favourite actors. I am unfamiliar with the Bernie guy though
