  1. Deb

My husband fought Prostate Cancer back in 2009. As of now he shows no signs of it.
    I hate Cancer!!

  2. This is interesting… your strategy.

  3. Red

Thank you for this. My late husband is so because of four different kinds of cancer. It is the predominant killer in his family.
    Red.

  4. You are doing such a great job, will paste it on my blog. Thanks :)

  5. Definitely #FCKCancer, it’s a topic very near and dear to my family. We’re battling it together with my uncles. Great post

  6. We always hear about a lot of very promising research and trials, but a real treatment or cure for most cancers always seems to elude us.

    • I look at the treatments that are available now and wonder if they will seem barbaric in 50 years.

      • Hope that radiation treatments will be viewed as we look at bloodletting now. Aunt: breast cancer and radical double mastectomy. Step-father: prostate cancer along with skin cancer.
F*CK Cancer is so right on.
Bearman, health and light to your friends and family. Off to contemplate how to use your great (and gifted!) image to it’s best.

  7. Once again, you’re a hero, Bearman! I’ve posted it on my blog.

  8. I lost my partner to colon cancer in 2007. Fuck fuck fuck it.

  9. Sadly it feels like EVERYONE can relate…
it seems we all know people (more often than not they are very close to us) who have been victims of this/these devastating disease(s)… awful.
Love the graphic (and the idea / generosity), Bearman…

  10. definitely… #fck it! when I add in my mother and half-brother in with my aunts and uncles and cousins who have had cancer, it’s probably been more than 10 people in my family that have died from it.

  11. You’re a really cool guy.

Hmm, I didn’t know google + did the trending thing.
    have to check that out.

    • Lisa if you look to the right of the stream you will see trending on Google Plus. It is Justin Bieber on top again…sigh.

  12. Cancer definitely sucks. Lost a grandparent to it many, many years ago and it was heartbreaking to watch him slowly ride off into the sunset.

It was heart warming to see your #FCK CANCER post. Sad to see how many people have had cancer in their families. My father survived melenoma twice. As you know we barried my father in law recently pancreatic cancer.

    • I went from being a sun god to being someone who lathers up just to take a walk with sunscreen. My wife has been good about that her entire life.

  14. Love it. I think we all have too many stories of how bad it is and can be.

  15. Yes, $%#& Cancer! I’m always scared of getting something. Probably why I avoid checkups.

  16. My father had cancer and I lost both my grandfathers to cancer.
    #FCK CANCER!

I have just added your “#FCK CANCER” cartoon to my leading page and added a link back to yours, I know that my Space is private but I do hope that it encourages the friends that I do have to visit your website, and to see what a nice person you are :) Good luck with you Ccharity Challenge Bearman :)

    Androgoth

    • Thanks knowing how your site is locked tighter than Fort Knox. Charity challenge was a rousing success thanks to all of you.

  18. Fair enough on the image. I too have lost many to cancer. It’s an awful disease.

    Have a terrific day. :)

  19. Cancer’s brutal. Today’s comic RAWKS!

  20. Hellz yea man… great toon and great cause. Thanks for making it freely available too!

  21. That’s the fightin’ spirit, Bearman!

  22. My mother died of pancreatic cancer 13 years ago! I’m not saying #Fck Cancer because it got her, I’m saying #Fck Cancer because in the 13 years since she has died, I’ve watched and heard of countless others die from this same disease with little advancement in the medical field to combat it. It’s like all these people have died and no one is learning a thing from it!

#Fck Cancer so hard it has a bloody aneurism and dies itself!

    • 25 years ago when my grandmother was fighting it, they seemed to have many of the same barbaric treatments as they do today.

  23. This is a great, powerful image, Bearman. I hope it takes off and goes viral.

I remember trying something like this in the mid-90′s. I designed these t-shirts that read “F–k Satan! He Can Eat A D–k!”

I thought it would be a great idea to get kids back into the church and make them think it was cool. The higher-ups didn’t agree with me though.

I guess they had a thing for ol’ Scratch. Sigh…..

  24. My grandpa died from brain cancer two years ago. Yeah, it sucks. So does death but I believe it’s been conquered. I’ll leave it at that.

    Good job Bearman.

  25. Cha

    Thanks for sharing, Bearman.
We’ve all been touched by cancer.. unfortunately. My grandpa lost his battle when I was 6. It really affected me, changed me forever. Neighbors, coworkers, friends’ parents… I’ve known so many people who’ve had cancer. :(
So unfair. So sad… so… there’s just no word! But Fuck cancer is perfect.
    xx

  26. LOL..I LOVE THAT LITTLE FCK CANCER SIGN! i had breast cancer, so i know how awful it is to have cancer.it seems at times like i’m surrounded by it cause every day you hear of more people that have died from it or have found out they have it.i’m going to copy it and put in my blog. thanks for posting it! :)

  27. I saw you post this on G+. At the time my grandmother was coming up on a year post op from breast cancer. Since, my fiance has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. This made her smile. It’s a little thing but it matters.

  1. [...] Bearman has come up with a cartoon that really says it all.  It may be considered coarse, by some–but I’m sure everyone will agree with its message.  Here is the link, followed by the image: http://beartoons.com/2012/05/27/fck-cancer/ [...]
