I am the 1% T-shirt
It has been a while since I created a new shirt design for my shop. This one screamed to be done. The great thing is it works whether you are part of the Occupy Wall Street (or Elm Street) crowd AKA the 99% or if you are part of the 1% crowd. See how democratic I am. Appropriate for all political spectrums and income levels.

Reminds me of the dirty old Italian man in Catch-22, who said that Italy was the strongest nation on earth – because it was the weakest. The young soldier he talked to was a patriotic American soldier of 20. The old man lived to be 107 because had no loyalties at all.

Pretty clever playing both sides. I’ve always tried to take no sides with my writing but maybe there’s a place in the middle that would allow me to offend both sides equally.

Perth is currently hosting CHOGM (Commonwealth heads of government meeting) and the city is in lockdown for three days because the Queen and all heads of states are here. Hmm and so too are thousands of “Occupy” protestors. So wearing a “I’m one of the 99%” tee shirts would be quite funny or dangerous at the protest
