Guess Who?
One of my achilles heels is drawing caricatures of actual people. I can whip out an entire cartoon in an hour from start to finish as long as I don’t have identifiable people. Those can take me an hour each just to sketch them out.
Starting to work on a large undertaking and this guy is in it. Let’s see if I came even close. Can you guess who this is????

Man, you did an on-point Chris Rock. Through constant practice and almost-daily postings, you have transcended the realm of “hack cartoonist” and have become a formidable force in the field.

I agree with George(as usual… I think we might be twins, he is the talented one). The problem with you calling yourself a “hack cartoonist” is that you keep raising the bar on those of us who aspire to become “hack cartoonist”. You nailed Chris Rock so good that everyone might stop hating Chris.
If he left the bar on the ground, I’d still trip over it. Raising it up just gives me a bloody nose.

I’m right there with you though. I HATE doing caricatures. In fact, I don’t think I can do caricatures (just look at my profile picture).
But you can draw recurring characters which is amazing in itself.

I typically do these and then do a good search of others caricatures of the same person. Then I am disappointed.

Are you sure you didn’t peek? You are correct.
I find good looking people hard to charicature, it’s easier if they have odd features than fine cheekbones or whatever. Have decided that since I can’t draw women, I’m just going to copy out of Archie comic books, so at least that’s settled.
