Added another entry to Comic Strip Improv. This weeks theme was to draw a cartoon based on “Artificial Intelligence” So of course I thought of artificial stupidity to come up with my toon. I HAATTTE those automated voice answering services that send you through a neverending loop of crap to find the person you need.

Usually its 20 minutes…then when they finally connect you to a live person…that’s when their phone system craps out. That or they guy knows you are going to bitch so he just hangs up on you so it doesn’t affect his numbers.
If you have become angry, please mash face into keypad, now! We’re sorry – your nose was important to us …
Luckily I have a cordless so the keypad doesn’t hurt as much.

I hate those companies that just HANG UP on you if the option your looking for isn’t available at the moment. And it’s an automated voice hanging up on you as well. Double-whammy.
And I love how they say “I am sorry YOU are having trouble” as if it is your fault.
Really, what was wrong with pressing keys to make selections? I can’t count how many times a heavy sigh from me has elicited an: “I’m sorry. I didn’t catch that.” message.

I love how your character goes from shy confusion to irate rage. You covered both expressions wonderfully.
I just looked in the mirror…those are the only expressions I have.
I’m not sure it takes me 5 minutes. The dreaded “Did you answer… Say yes or no.” “No.” “Thank you. You said yes.” gets me from calm to rage in 5 seconds flat.
True…but I am sure you will stay on the phone all 5 minutes.
Moments like this are why I got rid of Onstar

LOL. I absolutely hate when I deal with automated messages. I HATE IT!!!!!!! It never understands anything I say. I mean NOTHING. Very funny cartoon and very true.

This has ACTUALLY happened to me. So stupid.
I hate the ones that are for information…they can never get the city right. People think I am yelling at some poor slob when I am yelling at a machine.
