So the first caricature winner victim, is Nurse Myra from Gimcrack Hospital. Myra is not a real nurse (so I think) and Gimcrack is not a real Hospital. Instead Myra searches the web to find you incredible stories of medicine, murder and mischief. Remember when I said NOT to have expectations too high with my caricatures. I literally laughed out loud after sending the caricature to Myra and getting this response.
Hey that’s pretty good! Not flattering but it’s a definite likeness.
Myra, you want to talk not flattering…check out my first caricature of Brit.
That’s a great caricature Bearman. Although the green stuff in the syringe looks like radioactive waste…
It is…bend over.
That’ll be handy. I’ll glow in the dark which will make it easier to find my way to the toilet in the middle of the night.
You can be Tony The Lightning Bug. Hey, new character.
It only makes your pee glow so if you dribble on your way to the toilet, it may help you find your way back to bed.
Hey! I live with a nurse. Don’t be giving her any ideas!
Why does she read my blog too?
I thought that shot-o-iridescent green stuff might be pigment for your gravatar’s world-famous green hair, Bearman!
🙂
She gives me the shot straight to the noggin.
I saw that on an episode of Smallville last week. I think it was liquid kryptonite and they stuck in some young boys head. He died and Clark looked sad. 🙁
You still watch Smallville. Isn’t that show done yet?
That green stuff is what they put in you for nuclear medicine. Ask Caz.. he uses it all the time.
Good job Bearman. Can’t wait to see them all.
Tony glows enough with his Rat comics. He doesn’t need to glow in the dark too!
Nuclear. I thought he was an ER doc.
Spot on, Bearman – great likeness, recognized her immediately !!! 😆
You are one of the few…haha
Not having a clue what she looks like, I can’t judge the resemblance. I like the drawing and she is having a GOOD hair day.
She always has a good hair day…unlike some other people I know.
Hey!!!!!!!! I heard that!
I was talking about Lisleman. Frizz much Loon?
always!!!!!
Maybe that’s why I noticed the hair.
I really like this a LOT, Bearman! Man, look at the detail in the hair. I think you’ve done a great job and Nurse Myra should be very pleased. Go on, wit’cha bad self. 😀
Maybe I should give you some hair coloring tutorials..haha
I can only fill-in gap color. I wanna color like they do in the comic books with overlays in stuff. my way is boring and it limits the way I have to draw.
You stuff is anything but boring.
Indeed I am pleased. Though still not flattered 🙂
Wait till you hear Lisleman’s complaint.
Now I wasn’t complaining. That was my daughter being too honest. You know I couldn’t wait any longer so I posted the best caricature you have done.
Of course you couldn’t. So anyone who actually reads my comments can go to Lisleman’s blog this week to get a sneak.
and it’s a good one
Ha,ha,ha! First victim. Hilarious.
I feel like the Dexter of Caricature.
Are you kidding? I love it!! I want this to be my new screensaver…
I can send you a full 8×10 if you want to plaster your wall with it.
Those nails on a nurse would make me nervous. Just thinking about her changing someone’s bandages gives me anxiety. Great caricature, Bearman.
I would love a nurse with nails like that. She could make sure to pry up the bandage a little before ripping it off my skin.
My nails are short
Don’t ruin it..haha
We have a friend that’s an artist and he does caricatures. I won’t tell him that yours are way better than his. Very nicely done.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
Tell him. I like to feel better than someone..haha
You gave her a real mischievous quality along with her sharp white uniform. Good job, Bearman!
I think she is fairly mischievous so it works. Thanks Mark
Obviously not corset Friday 🙁
I have a wife over here. I shouldn’t be drawing other women wearing corsets.
I thought you might have some… um… ‘artistic license’ on that one, Bearman.
🙂
Hard to draw with a black eye though.
So that syringe isn’t for a case-o-black eye, either, then?!
🙂
NOpe..haha
I would have preferred chocolate syrup in the syringe, but other than that, pretty good! On second look, maybe her hair is chocolate. . .
Mmm. Chocolate. Maybe it’s mint syrup to go with the chocolate hair.
Yeah…what she said. Mint syrup to go with your chocolate
Awesome! I’ll participate next time! I missed this one.
And yes, the green stuff oozing out of that needle is symbolic of some of the characters that she writes about!
So true. She finds STD’s I have never heard about.
I didn’t see any pictures of Nurse Myra on her blog, but thanks to you, Bearman, I got to read her blogposts on hermaphrodites and human illustionists. Delightful. I must compliment her and you – fine taste!
Myra is one who only likes to be seen on the web from the neck down so I am trying to respect her wishes to remain so.
Nice drawing! and thanks for introducing me to a new blog to follow 🙂 good job!
Well if you checked out my links page http://beartoons.com/links you would see a whole bunch of people to follow.
Me me me me! Oh yeah, and me!
Yes…him too
I sent you my email, now I must wait patiently to see how you victimize me. I may need therapy afterwards.
If you comment here on a regular basis…you need therapy NOW.
um, before i read the last line i was about to say… UM!??!?!? what about MINE
I FIXED IT BRAT!!!!
I think it’s great!
I wish I could draw better caricatures. Mine are always hit-or-miss. Looks good to me though!
Mine are usually miss or not quite such a miss.
I love this one. Great expression mixed with her body language. Very fun.
Thanks Frank
