The hardest working man in webcomics, Bo Lumpkin, has burnt himself out trying to manage two different cartoon websites: bolumpkin.com and Gatorhead. I love his one shot takes on life that he tends to post on Gatorhead. It’s stuff you don’t think about but when you read it know it is so true.
So I did a cartoon for him as a placemark while he is on his break. Check it out.
Thanks so much for the Placeholder. I actually had a few comic ideas yesterday but I went off and left my laptop and art supplies for the weekend. Maybe this weekend I will just think and write down ideas. (It beats staring at a blank computer). Again, I am honored by your guest comic. Thanks.
Anytime!
What we can take breaks? Well holy crap! Ha,ha,ha!
Not if you work as hard as you do. Slackers like me are allowed.
My mind wandered and it didn’t come back.
Uh oh – I think I have a bit of T.P stuck on my shoe …
🙂
What else is new.
What’s new is that now I’ve NOTICED it, Bearman! 🙂
Break? There are no breaks for cartoonist! (Okay, actually, there are quite a few of them.)
Yeah…let’s head over to your site and see.
Nate is not a good example. He works at his stuff like people with a real job. (And it Shows)
That’s because it IS his real job. He doesn’t work hard, he doesn’t eat.
Hope he’s got enough loo paper
I’m thinking what he is carrying is better than leaves.
Who has time for a friggin break, just use NASA nappies for goodness sakes!
I keep telling you it is different when you steal your work versus creating it.
Tsk, tsk, Bearman, my blog is just a snippet of what I do 🙂
‘Steal’ ? 😯
Naughty, naughty girl ! 😉
Well why don’t you expose us to the rest…wait that didn’t come out right.
I would love this cartoon even more if it didn’t remind me so much of when I was a kid and had to stay at my Grandmother’s house.
I mean, seriously, who didn’t have indoor plumbing in the 80’s???
1880’s? I didn’t realize your age. Sorry ma’am
I wouldn’tb need the paper but Sears started charging for their catalogs.
I thought they just stopped sending them out. I mean who orders a house via catalog these days.
Run Bo Run!!!
Great toon B.M. I dunno how Bo manages it. I tried running 2 blogs once, my own & a separate one for Dixie & it was just too hard to keep up with it so merged them back into 1. I absolutely love Bo’s Creatures of Habit cartoons they just crack me up big time. I have been having a blank spot with cartoons lately too just trying to come up with ideas. I have some new characters in my sketchpad who are awaiting transfer to the computer. Your Bo-Toon reminds me of Grandma’s house when I was a kid too.
And to think we used to laugh at my grandma for having a bright red toilet.
