Today’s Guest Cartoon Movie Poster comes from Roland Perez (navy man) of Metal Jaw Comics. Now if you don’t immediately get what movie Roland is spoofing, click here for the original. I remember seeing posters for this movie but have never actually seen Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. The story is to expand the exploits of two minor characters in Shakespeares play Hamlet. I hate Shakespeare so I am going to have to take your word that this is a good movie Roland (even if it is a spoof)
Rolands comic Z&G focuses on a Zombie and a Ghost. Isn’t it cool how he was able to include the cartoon logo in his spoof of the movie.
Check back on Thursday for a guest cartoon from Chris Howard of Dressed for Success.
Yep, they are dead and I don’t feel so good either.
Too much drinking while i was gone?
Not for the last 35 years.
Something tells me I should have went with a more well known movie
Nope…you go with what you know and like. Though Tango and Cash would have been just as obscure.
well, funny you should mention that… no lie… that was one of the runners up to what I was going to draw… (Classic line by Sly Stallone : Rambo was a P*$&y!)
FUBAR!!! or “Did you bump uglies with my sister?”
I’m, partial to ‘You broke THAT jaw?”
No joke, we watched Tango and Cash over the weekend. Man I love that movie.
Tango and Cash is SOOOO awesome. I’m not lying.
Well, I guess next time I know to draw them as Tango and Cash 😀
What’s more T&C was filmed in Cincinnati.
Never saw the movie, but the whole concept fits well with it. Good job!
I almost went with “Sex and the City 2” for Knocking On Heavens Door, but I couldn’t quite fit the two together in a realistic sequence.
With the cast of Oldman, Roth and Dreyfus… you really can’t go wrong… very funny movie… I recommend it to everyone!
Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest.
Blahahaah, I use to quote that line all the time in High School.
OK, instead of “fellow” I used “man”. When someone got in trouble or busted by the teacher I would mutter the line. It always got a laugh 🙂
I still don’t know what that means.
I thought I was weird when I was in high school but… hey you get the trophy.
check this scene out from the movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-Sx4W2cKlU
I use to hate Shakespeare, but now am quite fond of him.
Maybe we had teachers that didn’t know how to enjoy it either.
I thought it was against the rules for teachers to enjoy anything or to let the students really enjoy anything. That’s the way it went down in my school.
This site makes me want to learn how to draw damn it!
In other news—a Dunkin Donuts employee recently butchered yet another iced-coffee of mine…
Can someone plese make a cartoon of me, body-slamming a Dunk’s staff-member?
Sure…but first you have to let us know what you look like. And do you know how many calories are in DD iced drinks??
Reports of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern’s deaths are greatly exaggerated . . .
As I believe Shakespeare would say … I dig it. Well, he might sound a BIT more eloquent than that, but … well, you get my drift. 🙂
Never heard of that movie, I was thinking Hamlet too. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark & Hamlet’s taking out the trash
