Sorry for my focus on American Football toons as of late but the Cincinnati Bengals have not beaten the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in eight years. Sunday they finally won and my friends in Pittsburgh deserve a little payback for all the years that they beat on us.
For the uninformed, the Bengal Tiger obviously represents the bengals.Ā Pittsburgh fans carry en masse a towel that is printed with the words “terrible towel” to games at home and away.Ā Ā The towel is now synonymous with the Steelers.Ā

It will be more terrible after it’s been wiped on…
Hopefully that point came across.haha
I’m a Brown’s fan – but Brown’s have irritated me so much already this season, I’m actually rooting for Bengal’s to do something. NOT a fan (just to clear that up), but at least ONE Ohio team seems to be doing decent, so I give them props.
Its like me I am not a huge fan of UC but since my alma mater sucks eggs this year I can root for the hometown team to do well.
Now a BROWN’s fan would have made that cartoon way funny
Look at you understanding US Football enough to make that joke.
Cincinnati in da hizzouse!!!
George, I don’t understand your Addanonics.
Why don’t you ever do comments on games I understand?
Like mah jong for instance…
Whoa..whoa. Let’s learn to walk before we run. Why don’t I do one on Old Maid (the card game not the lifestyle)
I’m from detriot, you’ll get no pity from me!
Hey Detroit won this week!!! At least Detroit doesn’t have high expectations in the beginning of each season..haha j/k
I don’t get american football but I do get the joke š
It’s like Rugby with alot more breaks in the action.
Might be kinda scratchy … probably shards of rusty steel in those things! š
Ouch!
Is Georgia Tech a football team, because I got their mascot on my desk. A huge friggin bumble bee. I hauled it from Atlanta to Australia in my carry on.
No…Georgia Tech is a university that HAS a football team.
Any clue who they are called? I am guessing it ain’t the Red Sox.
Of course I would stumble over here to find this. Iām from Pittsburgh. I lived there for 27 years before moving to Florida for 7 years and then Spain for almost 2. But I cut my thumb while peeling an apple yesterday. The blood flowed Black and Gold. Still, that is a really good cartoon. All I can say is to enjoy it while you can brother!
Thanks Scott. When I was younger, it seemed Cleveland was the bigger rival. Now Pittsburgh takes the claim.
