UPDATE: Check out our own friend YorkNBeans video on the same subject that was picked up on CNN. See it here.
While some people like our friend Lynn think learning to peel a banana like a monkey is cool, I found this more useful. Sure it has been around for years but I am slow (as are many of my readers) and I just discovered this little trick. I don’t mind DOING laundry, I just hate folding it.
I guess there has been a video from Japan about how to fold a tshirt in 2 seconds. Watching the original video there is an obvious cut in action so it appears it was faked. However, I came across this video.
It actually worked. Now someone just needs to teach this couple how to make a bed in 2 seconds before you make a Youtube video.
Follow me via TWITTER updates. or you can…
That’s how I fold up comic strips I mess up before throwing them in the trash (unless I wad them up first).
You drawn your strips on old tshirts….rather then throwing them away you can sell them as original tshirt art.
That was so cool! I tried it right away! 😛 It wasn’t neat, but it sorta worked! 😀
Took me a few times. I works..the only problem is they lay flatter than I typically fold so it is hard to see what is on the shirt when it is on my shelf.
I have been folding this way for several years now. I even did my own video for iReport on this and CNN aired it!!
Give us the link!!!
Let me go see if I can find the actual CNN link.
Found it!

YnB – that is SO cool
Just watched your Video, YnB
Wow, I was impressed !!!
P.S. the t-shirt folding thingy was quite good too 😉
Cool..I added your link to the post. All this time and YOU could have been folding my laundry for me.
Why thank you Bear….I’m flattered! Oh, and you too Duncs and NM! Once you learn how to do it this way, you won’t go back.
I can’t see the video here at work, but if it’s where they kinda grab two corners and just pick it up and it falls into a neat fold, I’ve seen that! But when I tried it, I noticed that the set-up for it (laying the shirt out and finding the right spots to grab) took me longer than folding normally. Oh well.
It took me a few tries to figure it out.
Hmm Bearman, hows about a losing weight in 2 secs video. Oh and none of that limb removing stuff!!
Eat more Beans with a Prune Juice chaser!!! Not guaranteeing how much you will lose but it will come out (off) quick.
wait, people still fold shirts, I thought that was just a 90’s thing.
You still have that college mentality where you throw it in the corner. When you need a shirt you sniff it to see if it is clean or dirty. If clean you put it on…if dirty, you turn inside out and put on with a splash of Axe..
Am I close?
Almost worth trying, but if I learn to fold T shirts neatly my son’ll stop insisting on doing it for me.
Just show him the video so he can learn to do it.
That took way too long, I will continue to hang my shirts up.
I used to do that and even avoided the dreaded wire hangers but after time it still reshaped my shirt on the shoulders so I stopped that too.
Okay, this proves that I have no life whatsoever.
I must be doing it wrong, all I do is fold in half then roll.
Thought rolling was only if you were packing them. Do you store your shirts in you suitcase?
Nope. I actually store them in my dresser. I got so many of them that it’s the only way I can make them all fit.
Sad, innit?
I just donated about 30 old shirts….It’s a disease G…just walk away from them. haha
I wish I could….but gotta have something to wear to work on a casual friday.
