Cuz nothing says good morning like a Prostate Exam. Don’t forget, September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. So why am I posting this now? We’ll just leave it at that.
Hope you have a fibrous day.
So I am working on some caricature studies of different celebrities/well-known persons. First up was Sir Richard Branson of Virgin fame. I hope when I am his age my hair looks half as good. Why hasn’t he put out Virgin hair care products?
Any celebs you think it would be fun for me to tackle? Let me know in the comments.
Did another cartoon for my friends at Project Blue Collar that work to give attention to adopted dogs. This one was fitting since their spokesperson er dog is named Sonny. Sonny sings Cher’s song Half breed at a karaoke bar….get it?
Sorry I haven’t been visiting the blogosphere. All my non work hours have been filled trying to edit my niece’s wedding video. Ugh!! I got out of the video editing work for a reason. haha
Today’s cartoon is for the environmental movement and what I consider a failure of public opinion. Many of my friends on social media are sharing this article which asks the question why people can’t believe in Global Warming if the majority of scientists do. On one post by fellow Cincinnatian Craig Froehle I wrote the following:
I think the Environmental movement made a grave mistake years ago when pushing the Global Warming agenda. Not saying it is true but even those who believe in Global Warming will point to history of it happening on earth and question whether the current climate change is man made or natural.
Pollution seemed to be something people could grasp as it was something visual they could see and see the effects of making better choices. IMO many of the strides we made years ago to fight pollution are being stalled as people debate Global Warming.
Pollution and the impact of it is a visible thing. So when we clean our rivers or our air, we can see a visual impact of our efforts which in turn helps decrease issues with Global Warming. But now we are hung up in a debate whether it is man-made or naturally occurring.
What do you think?
Thank you Thank you Thank you. I once again stepped up the goal and you once again helped me deliver.

Today’s cartoon is in honor of Dialogue Free Comic Day, which actually is this Friday but I am early because I will be out of town. Thanks to Noel Curry who started it and has kept it going.
This represents just another day in the Bearman Household. The only thing different is that my wife doesn’t know how to use the the window lock. So typically it is me driving, her releasing an SBD (Silent but Deadly for the uninformed) and waiting with a smirk on her face until the gas cloud wafts over to me. Of course I begin choking. My payback is in the winter when I roll her window down to release the fumes and lock it so she has to freeze. Oh the fun we have in our house.
Ladies do you fart in front of your significant other? Men does your woman fart in front of you?? We have friends who don’t fart in front of each other and we personally find that weird, so don’t judge..haha.
Midway point in the charity challenge and love all the new and old people that continue to step up. Thanks and keep it coming.
Sometimes a caricature just comes together quick as in the case of Cleveland Hero Charles Ramsey. He was the neighbor of the guy that kept three women captive in Cleveland for 10 years. So I figured he deserved his own cartoon tribute along with this classic line he told the reporter interviewing him after the rescue.
I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms…either she’s homeless or she’s got problems.
This is what I love about not having a set schedule as I can pull these things off quickly to react to news of the day. Must have struck a cord because I shared this on Facebook last night and actually got some shares from that damn site. Seemed to be a hit on G+ too.
Bill Cosby was one of the first actors considered to play the part of Doctor Who in a Warner Brothers film based on the famous BBC television series.
Prior to any trip via car/plane I need reading material. So for this trip I picked up the 25th anniversary edition of Uncle Johns Bathroom Reader. One of the stories talked about how during the dead times of the Doctor Who franchise, the BBC sold the film rights to Warner Brothers. In the late 80’s/early 90’s, Bill Cosby was Americas favorite dad and doctor. So WB supposedly approached Bill who turned it down. The film was eventually made in 1996 but not by WB and it starred Paul McGann.
I tried to find some additional evidence but so far only thing I could find was an obscure reference to an Entertainment Weekly tidbit from an edition prior to them posting anything on the web. Either way, Doctor Who fans would probably be up in arms.
Love the book though. It is like my on the go edition of the Friggin Loon and Madhatters ie information that is interesting but really doesn’t make you any smarter haha. Check out their website at http://bathroomreader.com or buy the book.

Don’t forget, the Charity Challenge continues through May. Thanks for all that have participated so far.
