Commenter Word Cloud – Tagxedo

Tagxedo Word Cloud of Bearman Cartoons Frequent Commenters

So I found a very fun site that George Ford will now yell at me for him wasting countless hours playing there.  Tagxedo not only lets you create word clouds but also allows you to create custom shaped word clouds.    I created a list of my top commenters over this year.  By duplicating the names of the most frequent commenters in my list, it allows you to see them bigger than the rest.  And the custom shape?  You might recognize it as the silhouette of my famous green hair gravatar.

What is nice is that Tagxedo will take your blog or twitter feed and automatically create a word cloud for you.

Right now adding custom shapes, like my gravatar, is free while it is in Beta but head over and check out this video on 101 Ways you can use Tagxedo.

    Have a terrific day. 🙂

  2. jynksie says:

Had I not read the explanation below, I would have had NO understanding why I see little “Jynksies” all over that thing. Kind of cool that is, but then again, any mention of me I find cool! [grin]

  3. Jillsy Girl says:

My name’s up there, my name’s up there!! 🙂

    Very cool!

  4. Friggin Loon says:

OMG, does my ass look fat in green?

  5. Binky says:

That’s pretty neat! I guess you have Binky on your brain. If you altered it a bit, LOOn or GeOrge FOrd could have been your eyes.

  6. Tony McGurk says:

aT LEAST i’M NOT ALL BRIGHT PINK IN THIS ONE BUT IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEEEEN.
dRATS, CAPS LOCK WAS ON & i CAN’T BE BOTHERED RETYPING IT AGAIN

  7. alecho says:

Hey! That is a cool cloud! I might have to look into it later. And next time I’m gonna be one of your top commentors! 😉

  8. DadaHyena says:

Whoa! I’m the shoulders. That means I’m, like, supporting everyone else. Awesome!

  9. nursemyra says:

Oooh I see I’m duplicated all over the place…. makes all that commenting worthwhile 😉

  10. Nate Fakes says:

Wow! That Nate Fakes fellow really sticks out!

  11. MJ says:

Ha! That’s awesome! I appreciate you swinging in over at Tooned In, I have alot of features to get out lately on deadline, but I eventually get all caught up!

  12. Hahaha…
looks like I gave your gravatar a bit of a cowlick!
    🙂

  13. That s really cool, I see me there a few times 🙂

    • Bearman says:

Most casual readers would look at that name and figure I let a spammer get through.

      • Yea but there is a difference, I am an actual person and what I do is fun, and takes a lot of time, but I do get looked at as a spammer sometimes. It is something that bothers me, but its the nature of the game. It does suck though cause I read a ton of blogs and post comments only to not get accepted. So seriously Thanks! I really do appreciate it.

  14. Love it! I’ll head over and check it out.

  15. lisleman says:

I like word clouds but they did become a fad and were overused years ago.
But it’s nice to see my name in a word cloud.
    thanks

  16. Scholar Mel says:

I must not leave enough comments. I don’t see my name 🙁

    • Bearman says:

I think you slacked off the first couple months of the year.

      • Scholar Mel says:

Slacked off!? I moved and I didn’t have access to the internet at the beginning of the year.

Come on Bear, I thought you were like Santa Claus and knew when I was sleeping, when I moved, when I didn’t have internet connection, when I took a dump.

Geez, maybe I should take you off the pedestal. 😉

  17. What a unusual character of yourself… many peoples on your mind? I do like it, tho… I see a few repeats, for being fill ins they add a nice complexion to your cloud 😉

  18. Jason says:

Nice! I better get catch up so I can save some “face” for myself.

  19. George says:

Ooh! I love how the cloud appears to be in the shape of your head! It’s almost lopsided, but it works its way back to correction around the neck. Where do you get these fancy toys that mesmerize me so? 😀

  20. Haha, This is fun 🙂

  21. Mark Stokes says:

That’s one thing about you, Bearman, you don’t mind sharing your new toys. Interesting site. Thanks!

  22. Nef says:

    Boo! I’m not even a tiny speck…

  23. Cool. I’m always happy to see my name so I can get the slight pause – “hey that guy has the same name as me, of wait, that is me.”

  24. I’ve used a website similar to this for a teaching tool. The largest words appeared the most often, so the students could figure out the main characters of the story, or main ideas, etc. based on the size of text. Very cool stuff!
