Long time Beartoons supporter Nate Fakes came up with this Doors Spoof Poster for his comic Knocking On Heavens Door. He along with comedian Tommy Blaze put out the sweetest webcomic you will ever come across (the complete opposite of what goes on here).
The cartoon centers on Spencer, a six year old, and his family. Spencers best friend is either God or he has an overactive imagination. The artists leave it up to you to decide.
BTW…want to compare Nate’s rendition to the real poster. Click here for the original Doors Poster.
Check back on Tuesday for Roland Perez of Metal Jaw Comics
Sheez, and here I was thinking Spencer was wearing a Snuggie blanket!!!!
It’s a burning Snuggie (right before someone grabbed a bucket of water) 😉
Now you see, that makes sense now! Thanks Nate
I like it a lot. I love the look all around, with out reading it i knew what it was spoofing. very well done!
Nate’s always breaking on through to an awesome ‘toon! 🙂
Hey, I DID wake up this morning and got myself a beer!
Great job, Nate! Here’s hoping it’s the cover of the next KOHD book.
A beer?! Dang dude, BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS! 🙂
I’m in!
I’ve been a big KOHD fan for the better part of a year, great job with this poster spoof! It’s fitting on so many levels. 🙂
I’m back..what did I miss.
Glad you all enjoy! Had to represent my favorite band. Tommy writes KOHD, so it’s fun to draw a strip that’s WAY beyond the realms of the kind of material I typically do as well (such as ones about killer toasters, or frustrated cartoonist!).
Bearman, we had a party over here while you were gone. We tried to clean up, so I hope you don’t find any unsightly stains on your site.
Who pooped on the carpet??
Fantastic Nate but we didn’t expect anything less from you. Good to have you back Bearman. The guest strips have been awesome but we need someone to moderate the comments and keep things flowing.
Ah so it is my banter that you come back for and not my drawing.
A little of both. You just do more bantering than you do drawin’. I kinda resemble that remark myself.
As always, great job, Nate! 😀
Great movie poster off of a fantastic movie!
