Don’t know about kids outside the USA, but in the US we were exposed on Saturday mornings to little blurbs between cartoons called School House Rock.
These little ditties taught me the different between an adjective and an adverb, what the preamble to the US Constitution is and one of my favorites, was Bill. It told the story of how a bill becomes a law on Capit0l Hill.
Unfortunately many bad bills get made into law and many good bills sit forever never becoming law.
Those of you who remember School House Rock…what was your favorite???
I couldnt find the cartoon that matches the simpsons bit. But i found this one where someone has used the simpsons school house rock and put it to Invader Zim… its still good though… hehe

That is all I remember.

i need to make a 5-10 min cartoon movie for friends (COPYRIGHT ALL RIGHTS RESERVED) – that was for other people. now i want them to be cute little cartoons of the two of them (my friends), i want voice and music to go into the little cartoon movie.
I have found a program that promises to deliver what i want by converting my text to cartoon its called Extranormal. Do you think for someone who has never drawn a cartoon and its a choose and drag type thing that this program would be suitable for me? (i have read their privacy and terms of use etc).. but i wanted to see if you or any of your other cartoon maker friends can help by giving me your professional opinions?
When you say copyright all rights reserved, are they planning on selling the video. Do they just want to post it on YouTube in hopes to get traffic to their site.
If the former, you may need to pore through the TOS, the latter should be fine.
I haven’t used it myself. I did some experiments with Video last year but I didn’t like the end result b/c I am not a good vector artists.
Anyone else want to weigh in???

On a factoid note: If you can find the boxed (4) set of CD’s that Rhino put on in the mid 90’s (and stupidly discontinued shortly thereafter), the going rate for the boxed set is about $150.
They still sell it. I bought it at the bookstore for my neice last year.

Pardon me for being so doubting, but I’ve been trying on and off for the past decade trying to find the original as opposed to the greatest hits compilation or the greatest hits as done by modern artists.
I did pick up the 30th anniversary DVD set though, and its pretty decent.
