  • Santa’s Home Security

    Santa’s Home Security

    Santa-Claus-Home-Security-10x10-Bearman-Cartoons

Oh you better watch out!!!  Santa is coming!!  You know he sees you when you’re sleeping and he knows when you’re awake.  Sounds like the creepiest stalker I have ever heard of.  So what better way to commemorate the creepiest stalker in the world than put his cartoon image on a tshirt.  Who else would you trust with your Home Security System.  The man NEVER sleeps.  He watches you more than the government.  In fact he may be a government spy.

Well tell your friends to let him know you know by buying the shirt.

    Preparation Hillary Tshirt

Preparation Hillary T-Shirt.  I thought this parody of the Preparation H box would make my readers who are fans of Hillary Clinton (any of you out there?) happy.  Clinton’s biggest threat in the Democrat nomination for President is Bernie Sanders.

Bernie supporters are very mobile and vocal on social media tagging many of their posts with “Feel the Bern”  So what better way to take care of the “Bern” than some Preparation H.

  • When Food Goes Bad

    When Food Goes Bad

When Food Goes Bad by Bearman CartoonsIt is interesting how one thing inspires the next.   Thinking about smells in my last post got me thinking about when food goes bad.  Which of course drove an image of a gang of bad food, which of course led that group of a moldy steak, cracked egg, and sour milk to end up in a police line-up.  Don’t ask me how my brain works.

So of course it was time to do a long overdue tshirt design and this is what I came up with.   Think it might be good for a baby bib or kids shirt so I put them on all those things now available on my store.

It was fun experimenting with a single color palette of blue.   Anything you see that is dark blue lines used to be black.  I think I need to do a tutorial for Photoshop (Elements) users on how easy it is to change your line color after the fact.

Anyone ever have food poisoning??   I think I am up to four times in my life, but I eat out a bunch.

  • Less Hair – More Head Tshirt

    Less Hair More Head Tshirt

You may recall this post announcing my Dave Stern’s book, The Balding Handbook.   Well Dave has finally made available the tshirt design I did for him now available here for $15

Trust me I took the phrase “Less Hair, More Head” way differently than Dave did but he insisted on that tag line. hahah

  • Battery Hog Tshirt

    Battery-Hog-Version-2

So you know what I did last night.  I drew.  Not because I had to or felt an obligation to but because I wanted to.  One of the things I wanted to do was beef up my tshirt shop and start doing more designs.

This Battery Hog was inspired by apps like Facebook and Google Plus which seem to drain the hell out of my cell phone battery.  So I thought it would be fun to make an iphone or android case that had this image.   But I figured there are a bunch of “battery hogs”  Slap the shirt on an infant who drains you.  Slap it on your spouse who we KNOW drains you.  Get them on a bunch of stuff available here.

See and you all thought I was giving up completely.

  • Milk Milk Lemonade Shirt

Milk, Milk, Lemonade, Round the Corner Fudge is Made

Two years ago my wife taught my then 9 year old nephew the famous Milk, Milk, Lemonade, Round the Corner Fudge is Made chant along with the associated movements.  Sadly for him, he couldn’t make it through it without cracking himself and everyone else up.  So this one is for him.  Available now on my store.

What were some of your favorite childhood chants?

  • Beartoons Shop is NOW OPEN!

    Beartoons Cafepress Shop

So for the past few weeks I have alluded to the fact that I am working on some projects that have kept me from drawing cartoons.  I am happy to say that I have completed one of these projects by creating the Beartoons Shop!!

Way before I ever started drawing cartoons, I created a little store on Cafepress called WackSack.com where I posted images for sale on tshirts, mugs, bags, etc.   Several years later I started Bearman Cartoons and ultimately this site.  As beartoons.com took off, it seemed disjointed to keep pointing people to wacksack.com for my tshirts etc so for the past couple years I have been thinking it was time to rebrand.

And now it has happened.  Cleaned out some of the non selling items out of wacksack and rebranded the store to give it a feel more in line with the website.  You can access it directly at http://cafepress.com/beartoons or as always click on the Shop link at the top.  Thanks for your continued patience.  I’ll have a few more designs in my head that I will be posting in the next several weeks.

  • Matzah Balls Tshirt

I got your Matzah Balls right here

Long time readers might recognize the design for “I Got Your Matzah Balls Right Here” because I posted it last year and asked if I should put it on a tshirt.  Well guess what.  I forgot to do it until now.  Available on WackSack.com (I really need to rebrand all that to beartoons but obviously I am lazy).

So run out and get this Passover friendly shirt to show the world you are not happy to forego unleavened bread during the seder.  Oh and if you aren’t Jewish…well show some attitude anyway.

Also for those who prefer posts via email you will be happy to know I now have an email subscription thingy on the right thanks to Tony.  Also if you want updates on when I reply to your comments that button is now available too.

  • Sinning T-shirt

Sinning TshirtSo much has been said about Charlie Sheen and his “Winning” slogan.  Everyone wants to emulate Charlie and there are a ton of “Winning” shirts out there.  But if you are going to be an ass in public (or just a little devilish imp) why not call a spade a spade and sport a “Sinning” t-shirt.  Now available in the store.

I think it fits in nicely with all the 7 Deadly Sins that I did last year.

  • St Paddy’s Day 2011

    Saint Patricks Day T-shirt

Ok so I posted the same thing last year but I have 3 more regular commenters who may not have gone back so far in the archives.  Click here for all the products with this design.

Don’t forget St. Patricks day is once again March 17 so what are your plans??

Oh and if you want something new, here it is.  If you ever find yourself in the back alleys of St Louis Missouri make sure to stop into SpilledInkGuy (aka Robert J.) and his lovely wife Anna’s store Paint the Moon.  There you can see some of his artwork and also paint your own pottery.  I’ll be sure to make a stop next time I am in the city.  Then again, it has been fifteen years since the last time I was there.
