Bearman Charity Challenge Week 1 Update
Just starting on Monday, I am very encouraged by the progess in the charity challenge so far.

Here is the breakdown:

$10 for Robert J of Spilled Ink submitting the first cartoon for the challenge. Chris Howard of Dressed for Success is also got several done. He is just figuring out which one he wan’t to submit.

$5 to Lynn at Trippin with Rip for upgrading my link to an actual banner ad (and $15 more for letting me know how screwed up my banner ad page was)

$10 each (I raised it from $5) to those who blogged about the challenge:

Two Days Left – Charity Challenge

With only two days left in the Charity Challenge it is time to put up or shut up. Click the image below for all the details. Bearman Charity Drive Update 3
ONLY ONE WEEK LEFT

Here is another weeks tally for the Charity Challenge. The Charity Challenge, for the uninformed allows you to do things like blogroll me, follow me on twitter, tweet about the challenge or post a blog about it. Details here. Any of those activities would raise money for the local FreeStore Foodbank to help those in need.

Speaking of Charity

Besides my own charity challenge, Eric over at Soupalaxy has his own thing to raise money for charity. And like mine, it doesn’t cost anything. Go to his blog, look to the right for the ad from Sprint and the Childrens Miracle Network. Click on the “Help Now” button. Watch a Sprint Commercial, rate it, and boom, they donate money courtesy of Eric.

Sorry for the lack of a new toon yet this week. Actually was on vacation. Already have in mind what I am going to do and hope to have it up either tomorrow night or first thing Thursday.

Bearman Charity Drive Update
Last week I started the Charity Challenge that allows you to do things like blogroll me, follow me on twitter, tweet about the challenge or post a blog about it. Details here. Any of those activities would raise money for the local FreeStore Foodbank to help those in need.

Cincinnati Art Museum Drowning in Administrative Costs

While looking for some of my favorite charities to donate to online (including paying up on my challenge for the Freestore Foodbank, I came across the site Charity Navigator, which heralds itself as “the nation’s largest and most utilized evaluators of charity.

Perusing their articles, one caught my eye. Top Ten Charities Drowning in Administrative Costs. Number three on the list was our very own Cincinnati Art Museum with 62.9% of its budget going to administrative expenses.

What are they doing with all that money?? Maybe I need to work there.
