I Hate Social Media Cartoon (Caption Contest)

Cartoon Caption Contest time.  You need to help me complete the words that best go into the third panel.  While I posed this as a cartoonist I think we can all relate to posting things online only for them to get ignored while other crap gets a bunch of attention.   Here are some options I came up with:

• Oh look (fill in name of any Celebrity on the same social media site) found my cartoon and uploaded it to his stream.
• I am just going to post how much I hate social media
• Wow look at that cartoon.  Looks like he spent about 5 seconds on it.
• Before I go, I’ll post this picture of my cat licking himself.

All of my choices have actually happened to me.  Like one of these or got something better.  Post it in the comments.  I’ll put the finished one up either Wed or next Sunday.

Editorial Cartoon: California Wind Storm Caption Contest

Today’s editorial cartoon started as usual with me reading about the terrible Wind Storms in California last week.  Of course nature was the cause but what if it were something else.  Thus began my problem.  There are so many choices for the cause of severe wind….

• A Republican National Debate was in town.
• The Friggin Loon visited California last week (for the uninformed she is reported to have terrible gas)
• An A-list actor purporting to support the Occupy movement while reaming his/her accountant for not finding enough tax shelters/loopholes.

So do you like any of those?  Or come up with something to top it.  Let your creative juices flow…

Cartoon Roundup

So I have been busy behind the scenes doing cartoons and contributing elsewhere so I thought I would give a roundup of my busy busy life.

First, the Webcomic Alliance, periodically puts out sketch challenges.  A few weeks ago it was “Your favorite Marvel or DC Characters in the classic, “Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil”.”  Now of course I went off template and included some of my favorite cartoon characters that I thought would fill the role perfectly.

Then our friend Ahmnodt Heare put on his annual “Draw Ahmnodt Week” Challenge.  Never mind that only two of us submitted entries.  But here is my donation to the cause.

Finally Gav over at Boys Will Be Boys put on a cartoon caption contest.  Not only is he yet another Aussie friend (I don’t know how you all find me) but he has good taste and I WON!!  Here was my winning original signed and sent along with a nice message that I received in the mail yesterday.
