So next up as Caricature winner in my 500th Post contest is Lisleman from A Few Clowns Short Blog. Now before you wonder where the glasses come from, look below at what he sent me. And the clown suit…well isn’t it fitting to his blog name?
Part of his response was:
The only odd thing my daughter noticed was how thin I appear. However, don’t change that.
Well here I go and try to flatter someone after Myra called me out and this is the response I get. So Bill, just for your daughter.
Hahahaha, great glasses! and love the clown suit 🙂 I like the drumsticks too!
His other drumstick is hidden in the other hand.
heh I only like the white meat
You will eat that drumstick and like it
A well balanced diet is a drumstick in each hand.
Absolutely
Awesome work (as always), Bearman!
Now… do you have any extra turkey legs laying around this joint?!
🙂
I think Lisleman ate them all… 🙁
Guess I’ll have to bring my own, next time.
BYOT!
🙂
Bring the beer too.
And the chocolate.
Great! I like the hair shading and the sunglasses reflection. Plus it looks like him!
That’s always the first question to ask.
I LOVE the first one!! 🙂
I am sure he isn’t going to be a fan of the second when he sees it.
thanks Jillsy I owe you one
Ha Ha These are great. An extremely good likeness. I agree with previous comments about the sunglasses reflection. It looks so realistic. I guess the 2nd one is more realistic. The drumstick doesn’t look like it has the Colonel’s 11 secret herbs & spices coating though.
I think he is cheap and goes to Kenny Rogers Roasters. Are there still any Kenny Rogers Roasters around…last one I saw was in Greece.
actually my favorite chicken place is Popeyes
That would have been my second guess
We used to have one in Jackson, MS but it closed. They all must be out of business. If you can’t sell chicken in MS, you can’t sell chicken.
Oh Dog! Chicken!
Better than a dog leg huh?
Great job. You do caricatures very very well.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
Thanks Sandee.
I like the first one – and he looks like the colourful character I suspect he is!
His wife would probably agree.
see below
The 70’s rang…ah never mind. Dear god Bearman you are whipping these suckers out. I will have to go digging to find a suitable photo. Hmm, could take awhile!!!!
You are the only one left
Are we actually going to see the real Loon?
oh gee thanks.
Been on the road today so this is my first look. Funny. I showed my wife and she laughed and said now that looks more like you. No respect I tell you.
But isn’t it great she still loves you in your “condition”?
These are really wonderful, Bearman! Love the expressions and color and also the spotlight effect in the original drawing. Both versions are honka-honka hysterical!
Thanks Mark. It is great when you have such an animated subject
At least he is eating somewhat healthy in the 2nd photo. 🙂
Health? That is fried dark meat!
Healthy? That is fried dark meat!
What is wrong with fried dark meat? I eat it all the time and other than an occaisional heart attack I am in perfect health.
Can you let those of us who like to eat the same when to expect our own so we can make sure not to be too far from the hospital.
Soon.
You must be runnin’ late. Head there now. I had my first heart attack when I was 36 years old….25 years ago. If you are over 36 and eat like I did don’t stray far from the emergency room.
Have a history of high cholesterol in my fam so the doc already has me on meds
I think this one looks great! Like the skinny one better than the other but they are both funny and cool.
Of course you did…I spent more time on the first one..haha
This may be a dumb question but how can I make my newly drawn character show up when I comment?
Go here http://en.gravatar.com/ and sign up. Then it will be associated with your email for when you comment. Don’t know how it will crop so if you need just the head let me know.
Where can I get me a pair of those sunglasses? Excellent, Bearman!
Bill…I think you are in business.
I don’t know why, but this set of caricatures cracks me right the HELL up! [grin]
Got to be the outfits.
Well done. Love it.
Thanks Tom.
Sorry…went wild on the comments but I haven’t had a connection for nearly a week and I have been havin’ withdrawl symptoms. 🙂
withdrawl? That is the second time today that has been mispelled..haha
I didn’t mispell it. I always speak with a “drawl”. I thought you had seen my videos.
I caught Frank spelling it the same way.
Haha. I like them both, but the second one is really good
He asked for it.
Now that is what I call – good interaction with your customers/fans. Perfect for the internet age.
Lisleman might not agree.
Ha,ha,ha! Good stuff!
Thanks MJ
That’s a good likeness, but he doesn’t look at all scary for a clown. I guess Lisleman must be one of those anti-clown clowns.
He is one that will give you a balloon and then pop it.
HA! This is exactly what happens to me when I eat too much salt.
(And ice cream. And chocolate.)
I can go from pic A to pic B within a matter of hours….
So your non-PMS and then your PMS look?
For some reason I hear the “You Bet Your Life” theme when I look at that first caricature.
For some reason, I have no idea what that theme is.
Both drawings are cool and really capture the photo well. Love the loud, clown-like colors (as I’m sure you well know I would). You’re just showing off now, B. 🙂
I think you should sport a clown suit. It would be fitting.
Hey, in the second pic, is he full of chicken, confetti, or something else?
A little BS.
Good work, Bearman – and the caricatures are a perfect set. Before (daughter’s comment) and After; from flatter to fatter.
The caricaturist’s life is a hard row to hoe. (Hmm, that doesn’t sound right.)
You are really good. You painted this man just great 🙂
Thanks and thanks for stopping by.
Holy crap that is SPOT ON! Great work man!
Loving these caricatures =)!! How long do they take?
It depends. Sometimes I can get a pretty good resemblance the first sketch…sometimes it takes me 30 times. Usually a couple hours.
Very funny cartoon.thanks for this nice articles
