Rumors are afoot that Disney/Pixar are looking at remaking The Stooge, a movie made starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in 1952.
I am not a big watcher of old movies but there was a time in my life when I couldn’t get enough Jerry Lewis (I guess I have some French in me). So imagine my joy when I learned that one of my favorite animated characters, Roger Rabbit, was potentially going to play the Lewis role in a Disney/Pixar remake.
So imagine my delight in reading this blog post by Gary K. Wolf that the movie was in the works. Gary Wolf wrote the book on Roger Rabbit. No literally he did. Back in 1981 he wrote “Who Censored Roger Rabbit” which came to the big screen as “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”
To this day it stands the test of time as the best movie ever to combine live action and animation. Surprisingly with technology as advanced as it has over the last 2 decades, I am surprised no one has tackled the genre much since.
So I had to draw a preview of what I hope actually gets made. Roger needs some new younger fans before Disney puts him out to pasture.
