Pop Culture Cartoon: Ashton Kutcher on 2 1/2 Men

Editorial Cartoon: Ashton Kutcher gets Two and a Half Men Role

So Ashton Kutcher has been added to replace Charlie Sheen on the popular Two and a Half Men series.  According to reports, he will be given his own character versus taking the role Charlie played.

I don’t watch the show but obviously there are tons of people who do.  Anyone planning to start or stop watching because of the switch?

  1. Duncanr says:

Won’t make any difference to me – I’ve never watched Two and a Half Men

    P.S. who ‘s Ashton Kutcher ? 😳

  2. DUDE!
    Charlie totally got Punk’d!
    🙂

  3. Jillsy Girl says:

I’ve watched the syndicated shows from time to time, but I’m not an avid fan, although with Ashton, I might change my mind!

  4. Scholar Mel says:

I can’t imagine the show going much longer but that is just because it has ran for 9 years and most shows don’t last that long.

    But…

I would keep watching it with Charlie out. Ashton is pretty good.

  5. Tony McGurk says:

He should’ve worn one of the better T-Shirts, you know the ones that say Sinning. I watched the show a couple of times but stopped because I thought it was too stupid.

  6. Friggin Loon says:

I have yet to see Kutcher actually act, oh except when the missus thought he had cheated.
Isn’t the kid in the show like 17 or 18 now, maybe they should rename it 3 men. Oh wait a minute, Kutcher still acts like a kid!

  7. I do watch, even though Charlie is a misogynistic, drunken low-life… and I love it! Can’t imagine Kutcher but I’ll watch at least once.

  8. hahaha awesome likeness on the cartoon. I guess the torpedo of truth missed it’s target and the tigers blood has ran dry.

How long can the producers put up with Aston banging a pensioner though…very scandalous

    • Bearman says:

Thanks…the first time I drew him, something didn’t look right. My wife said his cheeks looked out of wack and made him look like Tom Cruise. I don’t think Tom would agree.

  9. Dan says:

Nice one! Charlie’s more entertaining in real life than he ever was on screen . . .

    • Bearman says:

I haven’t really seen him in much since Major League 1.

    • Lynn says:

Yes I agree! I’m one of the few who really like Charlie. Let’s face it, he doesnt pretend to be who he isn’t. So what if a guy admits to liking hookers and coke? At least you always know where you stand with a guy like that.

      • Bearman says:

That is fine if a guy likes hookers and coke…but when that guy becomes a disruption to or interferes with others rights it is no longer fine.

  10. George says:

Personally, I watched the show because of Charlie Sheen. He played a character who was horny, untrustworthy, and thoroughly selfish: just like he is. That was the draw for me.

It’s gonna be interesting to see if Ashton is gonna play an airhead pretty-boy or if he’s gonna be someone different. I’m interested in seeing how it’s gonna go, but I’m not gonna give it too many chances.

    • Bearman says:

Yes but if your wife likes it, you are stuck.

      • George says:

She never liked the original. I own Season 1 and couldn’t make her watch it. For some reason, chicks just don’t like chauvinistic slobs on TV. She didn’t even watch 70’s Show, so Ashton doesn’t hold much appeal. Maybe they should have gotten the Rock to star in it. She’d be there for that. 😀

  11. DadaHyena says:

I’ll watch if Charlie comes and shoots a chicken with a crossbow into Ashton Kutcher.

  12. Bo Lumpkin says:

This whole thing makes me quit “thinkin'” and start wonderin’. Charlie was the same off camera as the character they had him portrayin’. If a person like that ain’t fit to work for you is he fit to have on TV comin’ into your livin’ room?

(BTW- Don’t miss your pic on a bag of fertilizer today)

  13. jynksie says:

I -don’t- think Kutcher has the chops for that show. They should have found another brat packer. Not a pranking brat w/ obvious Mommy issues! o.O

  14. Really, I totally thought this was a rumor. I don’t think Kutcher is a good replacement for any show. The guy is such a B class actor he can’t play anything but an idiot or a stonner, wait he could do a combination of both but it may hurt his head to think that hard.

  15. Not sure how you did but you created a really nice caricature of Ashton with very few lines. Nice work. Very funny as well.

  16. Nate Fakes says:

I don’t really watch the show much, but I’m sure it’ll still be a hit. Everyone thought American Idol was done without Simon, so anything can happen.

Charlie Sheen should start going broke any day now

  17. MJ says:

HA! I probably will stop watching the program now. I think the whole premise, and dynamics of the show will be ruined now. Great cartoon though!

  18. Binky says:

I bet the initial shows will be well watched, but whether or not the ratings will continue will depend on if the new character actually works.

  19. lisleman says:

Don’t watch the show. I don’t know if I have ever seen a whole episode. It a show I have seen while channel surfing.
Unrelated news item – a news items that is not news to me and many others. Donald Trump will not run for President – duh many people were telling people that it was just a PR stunt. You should do a cartoon on that story.

  20. great Ashton Kutcher cartoon! But no, the show will not be the same. I watched about 10 minutes of it once. It was all Charlie. for whatever that’s worth.

  21. I prefer the grizzled drug addict to the snarky teenager any day. And not just because I’m still in love with Demi. Kutcher just doesn’t seem to have enough character. Not that I even watch that show, but still.

  22. Jason says:

It reminds me of when they used to swap out the blonde girl in “Three’s Company” every so often. I liked that show, don’t watch this show though. I prefer my memories to “Three’s Company” to actual episodes of “Two and a Half Men.”

  23. Really that’s a sweet report with have a good topic.
