Bearman Cartoon: Pacman turns 30

Bearman Cartoon Pacman turns 30

So I know it is out of character for me to do 2 posts in the same day or to post a cartoon on a Friday but given that today is the 30th anniversary of the launch of Pacman, I thought it shouldn’t wait.

My rendition of the guy pales in comparison (what do you bottom dwellers expect) to our friend Scott Hampson from Agent X whose Pacman Cartoon has been stolen all over the internet.  Yes bloggers, the least you can do when you steal an image is link back to the source and quit cutting out the guys URL from the picture.

  1. Agent-x says:

That is an awesome pacman. I kind of imagine that this is exactly what he thinks about on his time off, too.
Well, that and also how much he hates that smug little Mario guy and his success…..

    • Bearman says:

People are upset your pacman isn’t still available as a tshirt. Why isn’t it on Zazzle with your other stuff? Look I am sending you 6 new people at least in traffic. The least you could do is sell them something.

  2. Corve says:

I was a bit addicted to the Google main page today after they placed the option to play the game on their site. Maybe fewer people googled today.
    Love your image.
The game gets annoying after a while.

  3. Brad says:

I’d drink too if I was chased by ghosts all day.

  4. Looks like Pacman could use some Prozac.
    Or at least another beer!
    🙂

  5. Friggin Loon says:

See Bearman, for a minute I thought you were pulling the piss on me, then I realized…ah Pacman. I gotta give up the drink in the morning 🙁

Blahahah Agent X cartoon cracked me up…shame his friggin links to the T-Shirt don’t work. He could have made a killing 🙁

  6. I love your Pacman. He doesn’t even shoot anybody!

  7. Thanks bearman, just what I needed to remind me that 30 years ago I was 4 years into my first (disastrous) mariage, had 2 young babies, was working my balls off on a 1:2 on call rota an can stil say that pacman’s arrival seems like yesterday!!

  8. I added your challenge to my blogroll. http://ahmnodtheare.wordpress.com

  10. Nate Fakes says:

Pac-Man has got to be extremely depressed. Poor guy

  11. Tony says:

Riose & shine Pacman, it’s Groundhog day. I was no good at that stupid game, I always got caught by Pacman. Poor hand/eye coordination

  12. Tony says:

Ummm, that’s RISE & shine, stupid keyboard!!!

  13. Dan Long says:

I feel his pain. I’m 27 and I’m tired of the endless cycle of running from various ghosts all day.

  14. DadaHyena says:

…with the ghosts of your past, always following you, always hunting you down, until you summon the courage to devour them and leave only their frightened eyeballs fleeing in terror.

    Yes.

  15. MJ says:

Why do I always skate by late to the party? Funny material.

  16. Bo Lumpkin says:

I’ve been waitin’ all weekend to see this post. You posted late Friday and I just got to an internet connection this morning. I could see on my phone you had a comic but I couldn’t read it. Do you realize that all weekend I have been as frustrated as pac man. Good job on this one.

  17. George says:

Man, you got me feeling old. I recall when Pac-Man first came out. I’ve gotta check the rest of the comments on here to see if anyone linked to that vintage, classic song “Pac-Man Fever”. That used to hype me up so much as a kid. 🙂

  18. Tommie Kelly says:

    I think might be Pacman…

    🙁

  19. Joenis says:

As a cartoonist, I feel that this is my life everyday; stuck in a endless maze of drawing…forever.
