Skin It

No this has nothing to do with cats.  I got an email from photobucket that was promoting a website called “Skin It”

It seems that with everyone but me owning an iphone there can be some confusion as to which one an individual owns during any iphone melee.  Skin it provides many different adhesive designs that you can use to customize your iphone, bender guitar, computer etc etc.   The problem I guess is when every sixteen year old girl has the Twilight skin on their phone so we are back to the original problem of identification.

However they let you customize your skins as well.  I played around with the customization for a while and found it to be a little lacking in its ease of use when trying to adjust an image or add multiple images to a design.  But I am sure George Ford will have fun putting Hanks face  on a ultrasound device (yes they have those too.)

Skin it site is down. Apple says they are calling microsoft to get the problem worked out. Microsoft is calling Linux for assistance. Linux is calling Solaris, saying what the heck, make it a party.

I couldn’t be bothered but for the really dedicated it might be fun to upload something that advertises their blog, kind of like a business card. I got some FREE cards from http://www.squizcards.com/ that attach to my key ring. People often ask me about them…..

PS: this is not a paid endorsement – I don’t do ads. Just thought people who were interested in skins might also be interested in these. The reason mine were free is that I bought something from the a couple of years ago and they were making the offer to all previous customers

    • Look if you are going to endorse something on this site, at least get paid for it. Wait. I never do.

Those are pretty cool. I would get one but then people might figure out who I was. hmmm. How about I buy it and send it to you to put on your keychain.

  7. I am pretty much still using a telegraph. Do they have skins for those, too?! 🙂

My wife and I have the same laptops so she got a skin on hers. Pretty cool, she things… I don’t have an eye phony either, since my day job comes with a phone attached.

I can’t afford all those electronic phone gadgets. I spend all my time paying for my combination pacemaker-internal defibrilators. Mine has my own skin on it but I can’t use it to call out. It does cause problems though. When I have my cell phone (a cheap pay as you go Tracfone) turned on vibrate and it goes off I’m not sure if I am getting a call or my heart is about to stop.

I choose individuality, I choose NOT to have skin!!!

  11. Here in britland a current health education message is ‘don’t go in without a skin’ as in use a condom.

So do the little darlings need to have 2 skins now?

As for telegraph, still a bit novel to my way of things, what’s wrong with taking it yourself…

Embarrassing when all members of a family have the same device. We had to personalize the pictures on our phones so we wouldn’t get confused. Skins would’ve worked, but guys growing up and leaving home works too.

You’re not the only person that doesn’t own an iPhone.
