Just came across the site Comics I don’t Understand. It features different cartoons that the blog author is having trouble catching what the point of the joke is. The most recent post includes the Dinette Set. Funny thing I hardly ever understand that cartoon, yet my dad always thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Am I not old enough yet to get it?
Thankfully the blog writers don’t look at editorial cartoons, or I might make their list one day.
Well if someone has to explain the site owner the meaning on the comic isn’t the bloody purpose defeated? 🙂
It turns out that most, if not all, of the cartoons I don’t understand are actually not funny. Present company excluded of course.
I quite like the “revenge gifting” cartoon. the one underneath it is totally lame
Chirag…I think that is the point. He doesn’t get them and WANTs someone to explain it to him but as Jelly says if you have to explain it, it probably isn’t funny (I probably have a few of those)
