Editorial Cartoon: Gun Control and North Korea

10-6-17--Bearman-Cartoons-Gun-Control-North-Korea

Sorry it has been a while since my last cartoon, let alone editorial cartoon but something struck me the other day after the tragedy at Las Vegas with the push again for gun control.

I believe in the second amendment and I also believe, much like we do with other rights, there are limits and there are requirements.  As much as we talk about the 1st amendment, there are things you can’t say and platforms where your free speech is legally limited.

If I said I want to drive a tank around my neighborhood, would that be OK??  The NRA and gun advocates should be on the forefront to ensuring that guns are kept out of the hands of those who are most likely to use them in unintended ways.  Domestic violence record…no gun.  Mental instability…no gun until you can prove your stability.  Waiting periods and background checks should not be a hindrance.

Kim Jong Un of North Korea wishes he could have that much freedom (which of course he shouldn’t)

  1. Binky says:

Virtually every other free country in the Western world can regulate guns reasonably well. You should be able to do the same.

    Ha Ha!!!
Kim Jong Un seems to finally have something to agree with America on.
