Charles Ramsey – Hero of Cleveland

Charles Ramsey Caricature Cleveland Hero Bearman Cartoons

Sometimes a caricature just comes together quick as in the case of Cleveland Hero Charles Ramsey.  He was the neighbor of the guy that kept three women captive in Cleveland for 10 years.   So I figured he deserved his own cartoon tribute along with this classic line he told the reporter interviewing him after the rescue.

I knew something was wrong when a little pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms…either she’s homeless or she’s got problems.

This is what I love about not having a set schedule as I can pull these things off quickly to react to news of the day.  Must have struck a cord because I shared this on Facebook last night and actually got some shares from that damn site.   Seemed to be a hit on G+ too.

Great job. I have not followed the story too much but I did hear the shocking news. I hope the three women can recover.

Darned good, B. This guy was so hilarious, no one had to do much to make him amusing. We’re gonna see a lot of him in the next few weeks, a la Antoine Dodson-style. 🙂

  6. Mark Stokes says:

    A heroic rendition, Bearman!

I’ve only heard snippets about this, but how did that pervert manage to keep all of them hidden for so long?

A true Hero indeed. Way to go Mr Ramsey

    • Bearman says:

Glad to see you still popping your bald head in Tony

      • Tony McGurk says:

I just can’t give up cartoons, both reading them & drawing my own. I just enjoy them too much.
My bald head is even balder now. At the beginning of summer I went for a #2 clipper cut as I usually do in the warmer months & I couldn’t believe how thin & patchy it looked once it was cut so short so I shaved it all off. Now I shave it daily when I do my face & I actually prefer it like that now. I’ll have to adjust out the side hair in my Gravatar

        • Bearman says:

I’ll have to find the original and give you a haircut.

I think you were trying to do so much. The passion is in it for me now that I no longer force myself into a reading or drawing schedule.

and in typical fashion, now the media are calling him a villain because they dug into his past and found out that he is a convicted domestic violence offender.

the guy did a good deed.
