Movie Poster – Carlo Jose San Juan of Callous Comics

Carlo Jose San Juan Charlies Angels for Beartoons.com

Today’s guest movie poster is from Carlo Jose San Juan MD of Callous Comics.  Yes that’s right MD.  You would think a doctor who is used to scribbling nothingness on prescriptions wouldn’t have a steady enough hand to draw.  But Carlo fools us all.

Callous comics is a story of Rianne, a relatively new doctor, who is helped through life by a group of guardian ducks.   The main duck in her life is Cal, who seems to be going through his own growing pains as a guardian duck.  The fact that she has guardian ducks is a great tie in with the Charlie’s Angels poster.

Check back Thursday for a new poster from David Adams of Slightly Off Topic

Hated the movie/series, love the comic though!

  2. Hahaha … she’s tough enough to put you in the hospital and smart enough to know how to fix you back up again! Cool poster! 🙂

  3. Carlo says:

For the record, I excel in writing nothingness on prescriptions! You gotta admire pharmacists who can decode those things. Nevertheless, it’s a good thing I’ve stopped hand lettering my comics. I admire those who do!

  4. This is visually stunning with the fire in the background creating a 3D effect. I’ll check out the strip for sure!

    • Carlo says:

Thank you good sir! This poster was a lot of fun to do. 🙂
Thanks for checking out Callous and I hope you like what you find! 😀

  5. jammer5 says:

Damn, that just quacks me up 🙂

  6. Tony says:

I’ve never seen a Charlie’s Angels comic. I hated the TV series & never bothered with the movie, was there a movie??? That’s how much notice I take of it all

  7. jammer5 says:

That like totally quacks me up.

  8. Bo Lumpkin says:

How do you get some of those gurardian ducks. I think I could use some. Great poster and now I have to check out your strip.

    • Carlo says:

Alas, guardian ducks only go to those who need them greatly. Furthermore, they’re in limited supply! There have been six so far, with only five we know of. Only four make regular appearances in the comics.
Thanks for checking out “Callous”! 🙂

  9. Roland says:

Nice action pose. Gonna check out the comic

  10. George says:

That’s cool! This has been a great choice of theme, Bearman. Carlo Lose did a bang-up job on this piece.

  11. Carlo says:

Thanks everyone! Glad you like this poster because it was a lot of fun to do! Thanks to Bearman as well for the great theme!

  12. Dan says:

And by a really weird coincidence, I’m posting this comment from a hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico! It’s nice here, been a long time since I’ve seen palm trees.

    • Carlo says:

And it’s the first time I’ve ever heard any correspondence from San Juan! I heard it’s great there, I should check out “my city”! Haha!
Oh, and by a really weird coincidence, I’m posting this reply from San Juan city as well, though in the Philippines, not Puerto Rico. 🙂

  13. Ron-Yves says:

I like the fiery background—and the king-fu stance of the ducks on each side—awesome -)

  14. FJ says:

    Sweet poster!!
