Bearman Cartoon: Fallen Princesses (Fiona)

Several days ago, Larry Fire had an interesting post about Canadien photographer Dina Goldstein’s recent project on Fallen Princesses.   Here is one of them…check them all out on her site:

So not to leave well enough alone, I thought there were some princesses she missed, including Princess Fiona from Shrek.  Maybe Lord Farquad did get some attention before Fiona married Shrek.   For my overseas friends, Maury is a reference to talk show host Maury Povich who 9 times out of 10 is doing a show on people trying to prove or disprove the paternity of a baby.

Speaking of Charity

Besides my own charity challenge, Eric over at Soupalaxy has his own thing to raise money for charity. And like mine, it doesn’t cost anything. Go to his blog, look to the right for the ad from Sprint and the Childrens Miracle Network. Click on the “Help Now” button. Watch a Sprint Commercial, rate it, and boom, they donate money courtesy of Eric.

Sorry for the lack of a new toon yet this week. Actually was on vacation. Already have in mind what I am going to do and hope to have it up either tomorrow night or first thing Thursday.

Bearman Charity Drive Update 2

Here is another weeks tally for the Charity Challenge. The Charity Challenge, for the uninformed allows you to do things like blogroll me, follow me on twitter, tweet about the challenge or post a blog about it. Details here. Any of those activities would raise money for the local FreeStore Foodbank to help those in need.

Week 2 wasn’t as good as week one but, I appreciate all those who have continued to spread the word. Keep it going because the challenge runs till the end of June. No Swine Flu Here Tshirt

Some of you may have noticed the image to the right that shows a link to WackSack.com.  Wacksack is a cafepress website that I created to sell tshirts etc.  I do all the design work (good or bad) but have been so focused on work and getting more involved with this blog that I haven’t created anything new for several months.  

So I figured I would periodically highlight something already there.

A Jewish friend gave me the idea for this one.  Kiss Me I’m Kosher

Given the Swine Flu pandemic, I thought it would be a perfect shirt to highlight first.  It is safe to kiss a “kosher pig” right?
