Bearman Cartoon: Susan Boyle
It seems even more people are enamored with Susan Boyle in the States than in Britain where she is competing in Britains Got Talent. Got to thinking what could stop her. Could it be people’s natural instinct to root for the underdog. Now that she is the favorite, does that put her in a spot?
Now Bill at Comics I Don’t Understand might get on me for such an old reference, but on this side of the pond anyone over 20 probably knows about Nancy Kerrigan taking a hit in the knee from Tonya Harding’s then husband Jeff Gillooly and his friends. Is the reference too old?

Terminate Yourself
Some of you early readers might remember my post on HOW TO TURN YOURSELF INTO A CARTOON CHARACTER
Well it looks like the producers of the new Terminator movie want you to be able to Terminate Yourself. No not kill yourself, but rather turn your photo into looking like your human skin is melting off to reveal your cyborg self.

Guilty Pleasures
Barely Knit Together blog posted this week about Guilty Pleasures (referring to songs, not something else pervs). I made the point that a guilty pleasure should be something you typically would be embarrassed to tell people. For example, the fact that I still enjoy “professional” wrestling would qualify.
Anyway, musically two guilty pleasures of mine are Aqua and Right Said Fred. Now of course you will immediately thing cheesy “Barbie Girl” and “I’m too Sexy” Those a probably the worst songs on their albums. So for your listening pleasure I give you Aqua’s Turn back time and Right Said Fred’s Swan (guess he never made a video of that one). You got any???

Bearman Cartoon: Adam Lambert and the American Idol Finale
I won dinner at Bootsy Collins restaurant because I called this one. I usually only watch the audition shows of American Idol but with the advent of the DVR, I can watch an entire episode in about 10 minutes by bypassing all the boring stuff. So it came down to the final three of Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Danny Gockey.
Kris and Danny had too similar taste in music so I knew that whichever of them got booted, the other would pick up the majority of their votes. And of course, as usual, I was right.
While I loved Adam’s singing of Mad World, can you all get off his jock about the arrangement. He didn’t do it. He took Michael Andrew’s arrangement from the Donnie Darko soundtrack.
